For our client, a leading electric vehicle drive systems manufacturer, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Packaging of Power Electronics components
 Thermal and Stress analysis
 Design of mechanical components from individual components such as springs and injection molded parts to complex die-cast parts and charger assemblies
 Creation of detail drawings documenting part designs
 Application of Tolerance Analysis and GD&amp;T to component designs
 Participaction and/ or leadership in DFM and DFMEA activities
 Benchmarking world class mechanical product design practises and championing the implementation of lessons learnt
 Benchmarking and developing mechanical engineering design processes 
 Mentoring and structured development of junior member of the mechanical team
 Joining product development teams as the lead mechanical designer
 Travel to customer, manufacturer, supplier and partner sites to participate in design reviews, presentations and product briefings
 Authoring generic product design specifications
 Estimating the scope of work for mechanical elements of projects to   support project planning and product costing
 Lead and/ or participate in root cause/ failure analysis reviews
 Prepare engineering change/ release packages

Required Experience and Knowledge: 
 Experience in the design of Power Electronics in a high volume
  automotive environment
 Highly knowledgeable in Power Electronics design best
  practises
 Expert in the modelling and delivery of mechanical and thermal
  attributes of Power Electronics assemblies
 Enthusiastic to mentor and grow the skill level of the
  mechanical engineering department
 Highly knowledgeable in a broad array of manufacturing
  processes as applied to Power Electronics assemblies
 Expert in the application of state of the art DFM/DFA
  techniques and technologies

This position will require experience in the full lifecycle recruitment processes to recruit and retain qualified candidates. Duties and Responsibilities:
	Develop and facilitate education sessions at post-secondary institutions, career fair attendance, and managing candidate communications campaigns
	Research, develop and implement new recruitment resources; job boards, social media, agency selection

Responsibilities:

Working in a multidisciplinary team that includes fixture designers and method agents, the NC programmer is responsible for the following tasks in the industrialization of new projects:
 Delivery of NC-programs with a good quality within the agreed deadlines and NRC/RC budget (programming time &amp; machine cycle time)
 Following directions of Method Agent for cutting tools &amp; strategy, but challenge the suggestions if there may be a better method/strategy
 Post-processing with existing post-processors
 Verification of NC programs using Vericut
 Creation of ACCs (auto control cards) together with method agent (used by machine operators for process verification), and shop-logbooks
 Verification of cutting tool data in TDM (Tool Data Management system)
 Assistance in establishing fixturing/method/cutting tools-cutting conditions
 Support of shop floor (if requested by method agent)

Qualifications:
 Bachelor or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related studies
 Preferably experience with manual machining (milling/turning)
 3+ years experience with Catia V5/Vericut V5-V6
 Technical background and interest in milling/machining complex parts
 Aerospace experience is a definite assets
 Previous work with aluminum is preferred (plastic is okay)
 Attention to detail
 Independent and proactive/communicative
 Willingness to work flexible hours if needed
