Job Description: Visiting Homemaker
Care for 1 elderly in employer's home

Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment.

Language: English

Job Duties: Provide full time care and supervision to elderly; Prepare, cook and serve nutritious and/or special diet meals for elderly; Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder); Provide companionship for elderly; Administer medications as prescribed by doctor and/or pharmacist to elderly; Accompany elderly to medical and/or dental appointments; Assist elderly in achieving their maximum personal well-being; Assist elderly with their daily exercises. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.

Specific Skills: Reading text; Writing; Communication; Problem solving; Decision making; Job task planning and organizing

Terms of employment: Permanent; Full-time; Day/Evening

Wages: $16.72 per hour for 30 hours a week

Education required: Completion of high school or equivalent

Work experience: Short work demonstrations or on–the-job training acceptable but not mandatory. No minimum duration of related employment required.
