The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operation of our restaurant – including the selection, development, performance monitoring, and overall management of our employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food products and supplies on a “just-in-time” basis; effort to optimize profits by reducing waste, overhead, and controlling inventory timing; and ensure that our guests are satisfied. The Assistant Manager reports to the Manager and the Franchise President.

• Minimum High School Education Required
• 1-2 years of experience on at least a supervisory level
• equivalent management experience in other retail will also be considered

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Adhere, and ensure employee adherence, to company standard and service levels in order to increase sales and minimize costs
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
• Ensure safety and health compliance that is in alignment with franchise standards and applicable laws
• Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues and help them to develop into proficient workers by providing them with ongoing performance feedback
• Ensure that recipes /product directions for preparing, seasoning and cooking are being followed
• Manage staff by assigning shifts and duties in order to ensure that all shifts are properly staffed and that all standards and best practices are being efficiently executed
• Oversee the organization and storage of inventory and consumables
• Perform conflict resolution actions as appropriate to the given issue (either staff or customer)
