Key Duties and Responsibilities:
? Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
? Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
? Oversee kitchen operations
? Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
? Keep kitchen and food handling area clean with proper regulation and procedure
? Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
? Place purchase orders and/or requisitions for procuring necessary, food ingredients, supplies, etc. required for menu preparation
? Maintain inventory and records of food ingredients, supplies and equipment
? Estimate expected food consumption and requirement
? Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance
? Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
? Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
? Check the quantity and quality of received products
? Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
? Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
? Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, which include sauces, soups, salads, vegetables, meats
? Determine food portions and develop menus
? Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
? Inspect kitchen and food service areas
? Coordinate work activities and schedules of kitchen staff engaged in food preparation

Academic, Training and Experience Qualifications
? Secondary school graduation certificate required
? Several years (minimum 2 years) of previous experience in commercial cooking industry required

Work conditions and physical capabilities
? Fast paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing and walking, Standing for extended period of time, Attention to details, bending, couching, kneeling
