 Description  : NEC Native Education College is a private college for Indigenous learners to live their cultural heritage and realize their true potential. PURPOSE OF PROJECT
The ILS program requires professional help in curriculum development for ten courses leading to a certificate in Indigenous Land Stewardship. Please e-mail any questions to dtracey@necvancouver.org.

TASKS
Develop an outline, syllabus, lesson plan and evaluation methodology for each of ten courses to be taught during the one-year Indigenous Land Stewardship certificate program. An earlier version of this program included courses teaching Indigenous perspectives on subjects such as Land Stewardship, Ecosystems, Community-based Planning and Leadership. The curriculum developer(s) would be expected to build on the successes of similar courses developed at NEC and elsewhere and also develop new courses to meet the program goal.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. adult education) from an accredited institution.
• Provincial Instructors Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated success in quality curriculum development.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience working with Indigenous learners.
• Experience working in an Indigenous nonprofit environment.

TERMS:
NEC will enter into a Service Contract with successful proponent(s) for all or portions of the work required. The number of contract hours to be negotiated. Work to be conducted off-campus at provider’s own facility. Contract to begin January 2019 with deliverables by March 1, 2019.
Hourly rate: $48/hr.
