Roman Artisan Services Inc is looking for a skilled individual to fill the position of Operations Manager. The position will be primarily responsible to coordinate projects and manage by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly, determine staffing requirements and oversee any hiring of staff reporting to the position. In order to join our company that since 2011 is offering professional services in full service interior renovation (walls/electrical/plumbing/countertops/custom cabinetry/flooring/small hardware/custom mill work) in the Greater Toronto Area the Administrative Manager must possess excellent leadership/management skills.


• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
• Manage subcontractors on day to day basis and coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, delegating work accordingly
• Determine and schedule labour, equipment and other resources
• Initiate and ensure project billing is completed in a timely manner and monitor progress against established schedule
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Develop and implement quality control programs
• Direct the purchase of building materials
• Establish objectives for the organization or institution and formulate or approve policies and programs
• Prepare estimates for materials according each project
• Interview and hire subcontractors
• Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.

Qualifications and skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build a team according with the requirements of a specific job
• Experience in managing staff, working remotely, independently, interdependently
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation of employees
• Experience with coaching and employee development
• Degree in business, management or a related field
• Minimum three years of experience in a management role
• Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems
• Ability to remain calm and poised in urgent situations
• Entrepreneurial experience an asset
